GDPR

On May 25, 2018, a new law, GDPR, came into force. It is a common law that will ensure that the same rules apply everywhere throughout Europe. The GDPR replaces the Personal Data Act (PUL), which has been a Swedish law since 1988. With the GDPR, all organizations, traders and companies must have a greater responsibility to have control over their customers data. Read more here: Privacy Protection Authority

Swedish candy & fika are responsible for the processing of personal data that you provide to us as a customer and these are processed by us to be able to administer your purchases, as well as for marketing purposes if you have signed up for the newsletter. Swedish candy & fika does NOT give out personal data, e-mail addresses or other customer information to third parties, other than what is mentioned in the second point below.

As an e-retailer, Swedish candy & fika has obligations to ensure that your data is processed as follows:

What is meant by personal data?

Personal data means information that can be linked to an individual person.

What information do we collect?

In order to manage purchases and customer matters, we store the following information:

First and last name, address, telephone number, e-mail and purchase history. If the customer chooses to pay by invoice, the social security number is also stored. We store your data upon purchase for 7 years due to the Accounting Act.

Below you can find an account of which companies we share information with and why we do so.

Bill of exchange

When you make a purchase, information is shared with our payment gateway. What is saved is first and last name, address, e-mail, telephone number and purchase history. If you choose to pay against an invoice, your social security number is also stored. The information is saved/shared to be able to complete the purchase but also to protect you against fraud. We currently use Stripe.

Freight company

In order to deliver your orders, we need to share certain information with the shipping company. We share first and last name and address for delivery. Email and/or mobile number for notification. We currently use DHL and PostNord for delivery.

Newsletter

If you have chosen to subscribe to our newsletter, your first and last name and email will be shared with our service provider. We save/share first and last names in order to make the mailings more personal. Your information is shared so that we can use the service and keep you up to date with offers/information. We currently use Mailchimp for mailings.

The right to be forgotten

You have the right to be deleted from the systems at any time (with certain restrictions, such as the Accounting Act).

Access stored information

You have the right to receive an extract of all information that we have about you with us.
